Street Gallery 808

We support artists impacted by homelessness and the justice system. Our goal is to turn creativity into connection. By facilitating engagement through workshops, exhibitions, and community events, we help people rediscover their voices, build confidence, and imagine new possibilities.

Featured Artist

Teresa is a multidisciplinary fiber artist whose creativity has always been fueled by love for her children and a determination to build something better. Even while living in her car, she kept making art, even rigging a pole across her trunk to create macramé gifts for family. A former mechanic, Teresa’s ability to work was limited after a serious work-related injury. But she never stopped creating. Her kids, now young adults and creatively gifted themselves, were her motivation to choose art as a healthy way forward. After years of homelessness and perseverance, Teresa is now in supportive housing, deeply engaged in her creative practice, and looking ahead with hope as she continues to build her future through fiber art, photography, and painting. Shop her fiber creations through her Etsy shop, Teresa’s Attic Stitches
